Go Sox!

Posted by Matt on August 11, 3:23 PM

Nothing's been posted in a while, and I'm going to the Sox game in a bit, thought I'd just say a quick "Go Go White Sox!" before I leave. Oh, and I'm doing the triathlon Sunday morning if anyone wants to come out to Naperville to cheer me on.

Just wanted to post a quick note that I've re-activated www.mattjcon.net as a training blog for my upcoming triathlon. In case anyone wants to track my progress, you're more than welcome to take a look.

Events Update

I've updated the events page with some more details, and gotten rid of somethings that have passed. Please let me know if you'd like your event posted on the AllThingsConway page.

VOTE!!

Posted by Matt on June 27, 2:28 PM

We need to all vote for our favorite White Sox players to get into the All Star game. Currently there are three players in third place at their position (Paul Konerko at first, Tadahito Iguchi at second, Joe Crede at third), one at fifth (Juan Uribe at short stop) and two outfielders in the top 10 (Jermaine Dye in 6, Scott Podsednik in 9), but we can do better than that. So get out there and VOTE!!!.

Grace on ESPN

Posted by Matt on June 6, 7:45 PM

Katie, Mark and Grace went to visit Moira in Cleveland and took in a baseball game (which one was the main reason for the trip?). ESPN filmed them while they were they, and I got a couple of pictures of it off of my TiVo. You can view them on the pictures page (linked on the right), or view the direct link here.

Got anything better?

If you have a better idea, please feel free to share...

Archives

Posted by Matt on June 6, 4:19 PM

We now have a fully functional archive as well as the Previous Posts section. The Previous Posts will show the most recent 10 posts, and all others will go to Monthly archives linked below those. Let me know if you notice any problems with any links not working anywhere on the site.

And also, be sure to put a subject line in your posts, or the archive links won't work properly.

Bad ideas

those are the worst T-Shirt ideas

What about the West?

Posted by Matt on June 3, 9:48 PM

What about those of us who are crawling from the West or the far East (Cleveland)?

How about:
front:
North, West, East or South

back:
It doesn't matter where you crawl from
as long as you wind up on Western

We could have one of those compass things on the front with the directions, then the back could have a map of all the Western bars we'll be hitting that night?

Pub Crawl Shirts

Here is an idea for the shirts:

Some crawled from the North
Some crawled from the South

But All Are Crawling!!

Outage

Posted by Matt on May 30, 6:49 PM

There was a network outage, but everything is back online. If you tried accessing the site today and couldn't, that's why, I had to wait for someone to be on location to fix the problem (thanks Margaret).

ch...ch...ch...Changes

Posted by Matt on May 26, 4:05 PM

I modified the page a bit today. Now instead of an archive is a list of the previous posts. This will display the most recent 15 posts with links to a page displaying just that one post. Once we reach 15, they are archived and no longer displayed. We can also do this by date (posts from the last 30 days are displayed, etc.).

Some behind-the-scenes stuff has changed as well, but it's not worth boring everyone over. I'm going to start working on a logo for the upper-left (looks empty over there) if anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

Pub Crawl T-Shirts

Posted by Care Bear on May 24, 9:24 PM

Col, I think by now your strong feelings about the Parade are known to all. Don't worry; you don't have to join in if you don't want to participate. In the meantime, are there any thoughts on shirts for those in for the Crawl?

I'll miss you all at Meg and Matt's on Monday, but will be chillin' like a villian on a long weekend - to use Aunt Carol's favorite quote.

Matt, nice job on the site. It's nice to have a tech savvy person in the family to take care of stuff like this...

BTW, keep working on the slide show of Colleen's childhood photos that we are going to project on the screen of the truck during the parade..."Marching in '07!" I think my Dad may have some great videos of her singing at the Conway Xmas Party 1980 if we can translate the formatting?

I'm not marching in 07!

Posted by Col on May 24, 4:06 PM

Or any other year for that matter. Sorry - but I don't even like watching the parade...why would I want to march in it??
